'Talking Sabah!'

In collaboration with Visual Culture Society (VCS), English Language Society (ELS) of Keningau Vocational College managed to organize a field trip to watch the live English language theater performance.

This is the second time in the same year the college students had organized the excursion

As the main production for Theatre Week in line with June’s Sabah’s Arts Month, ‘Talking Sabah’, which is the product of a 3-day acting and directing workshop called the ‘The Sunshine Collab‘ that gathers interested participants who were given an opportunity to express themselves through the art of performing arts, is happening this month!

Comprising of three mini plays called ‘Castle of Glass', ‘The Climb‘ and ‘Begitu Ka?! (Like That Ka?)', ‘Talking Sabah’ will focus on various issues such as teenage pregnancy, land rights, traditional medicine, stereotyping and mother tongue that are crucial to modern Sabah and its citizens.

What can audience expect from this exciting, one of a kind show? Not only are the short plays directed and acted by first time stage directors and performers, but audience will also get to critically examine these pressing issues by having talented individuals to act it out LIVE!
